I am a guest at the Ebenezer Bible School, located just outside Myanmar’s capital, Yangon. Ebenezer, its living quarters for staff and its 81 students from throughout the country would not be possible if not for a man from Yangon who opened a small school - the first in the district - in the Akha village of Hwe Young called the Golden Triangle Mission School (GTMS). Its founder, Noah, has invited me to observe the impact of education in this village on a new generation of literate, skilled and ambitious youth.
